I have been waiting all week to do what I did today!
Last weekend, Brandon and I went fishing around the corner at the lake. Walking down to the water I noticed slews of blackberry bushes....with loads of bright red berries on them. I'm not talking one or two bushes spread here and there, but loads of bushes absolutely BURSTING with tiny berries. I must admit.....I became giddy at the thought of being able to pick them and knowing they would be all minnnnnne..*insert evil laugh...mwahahahahhaaha!*
After impatiently waiting the week out, Lori, Courtney, and I made our way down to the pond armed with gloves, hats, and baskets. I have to say, we were some of the hottest berry pickers I've ever seen, as you can tell by the sweat on our faces, the sag in my pants, the height of my socks, and the water splashes on Lori's shirt. We braved the thorns, hiked through snake infested woods, and Lori was able to finally see my little bit of backyard Terabithia. It was hot, but we had a lot of fun laughing at each other and picking our sweet berries!
We will be back next week for the mother load!
Don't ya wish your socks were hot like mine!? BTW, love my hat....it was my momma's :)

You are one hot berry picker :) Love those socks.
Blackberry season always reminds me of my grandpa. He used to have the most amazing blackberry bushes on his land. I haven't had yummy berries like that in so long!
Love the socks!
